Surfing Possibility
Stories of India and Bangladesh's First Female Surf Communities!
Surfing Possibility is a project involving the creation of two short-form documentary profiles, blogs and photographs on South Asia’s first female surf communities. The project was co-produced and co-authored by Farhana Huq, Founder of brown girl surf and Storytellers for Good, Founded by Cara Jones. The Surfing Possibility shorts debuted at Patagonia, San Francisco on October 8, 2013 in honor of International Day of the Girl. In 2015 Surfing Possibility: The Surfer Girls of India, went viral to over 4 million people worldwide, establishing brown girl surf as an influential force in shifting the narratives in surf and ocean culture.
